Five hubs in four countries

Close to practice, connected across borders: five sites pool different competences and focus areas.

Each site develops and tries out its own demonstration and qualification solution for practical use – and makes it available to the others.

Map of the Greater Region made up of Wallonia, Luxembourg, Lorraine, Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate, with the five HARMONI hubs marked: Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld near Hoppstädten-Weiersbach, ZeMA in Saarbrücken, the Institut d’Innovation en Logistique in Metz, Technifutur in Seraing and the University of Luxembourg in Esch-sur-Alzette.

Equipment

What is where?

You want to know which system you can try out, and where. The overview is being built up here – it grows with the project’s procurement.

  • Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld Humanoid robot by Unitree Used for laboratory processes, life science and circular economy. The exact model designation will be added. on site
  • ZeMA, Saarbrücken List to follow Focus on automotive and assembly. to be added
  • I2L, Metz List to follow Focus on logistics and digital twin. to be added
  • Technifutur, Seraing List to follow Focus on digital twin, education and training. to be added
  • University of Luxembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette List to follow Focus on sensors, artificial intelligence and optimisation. to be added

Looking for a particular system and not finding it here? Ask us – we often know which of the five sites has it. That is exactly why the infrastructure is coordinated across the borders.

Partners

Who carries HARMONI

Five funded and three strategic partners in four countries – with a contact person at every site.

Project management

Trier University of Applied Sciences, Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld

Focus: circular economy, life science and laboratory processes.

Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld leads the project. The Environmentally Sound Production Processes and Industrial Robotics group has worked in cross-border robotics projects in the Greater Region for years.
