Legal

Privacy policy

This website is a static site. It sets no cookies, embeds no external services and processes no data beyond what is technically necessary.

In one sentence

When you open this page, server log files are created, as with any website. Nothing else: no cookies, no local storage, no analytics, no fonts or maps from third-party servers, no contact form, no social media embeds. That is also why you see no cookie banner here – there is nothing to consent to.

Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Trier University of Applied Sciences, Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld
Environmentally Sound Production Processes and Industrial Robotics group
Campusallee
55768 Hoppstädten-Weiersbach, Germany

robotik@umwelt-campus.de

The data protection officer of Trier University of Applied Sciences can be reached at the university’s address.

Hosting

Where the site is hosted

The website is served as a static site via GitLab Pages on the gitlab.rlp.net instance, the GitLab instance within the Rhineland-Palatinate higher education network. No content is loaded from third-party servers.

The legal basis for the associated processing is Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with the university’s public task, complemented by our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Server log files

What is created when you open the page

When the website is accessed, information is automatically stored in log files:

  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is needed to deliver the site at all and serves system security, system stability and troubleshooting. It is not combined with other data, and it is not evaluated for advertising purposes.

Where the log files permit identification, they are deleted after 14 days at the latest. Exception: if a security-relevant event occurs, the affected log files are kept until it has been fully clarified.

No cookies, no analytics

This site stores nothing on your device – neither cookies nor local or session storage. There is no audience measurement and no tracking.

The fonts used (IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono and Source Serif 4) are on the same server as the site and are not loaded from a service such as Google Fonts. Your IP address is therefore not transmitted to any third party.

External links

The site links to the websites of the project partners, the strategic partners and the Interreg Greater Region programme. These links open in a new tab and are marked as external. You only leave this site when you click such a link; from that point the privacy policies of the respective providers apply. No content from those sites is embedded here.

Getting in touch

There is no contact form. If you write to us by email or call us, we process the information you provide solely in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR within our public task, and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries.

Your enquiry is deleted once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Please note that unencrypted email is not a secure means of transmission.

Encryption

The site is delivered over an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS). You can tell by https:// in your browser’s address bar.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the data processed about you (Art. 15)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • erasure (Art. 17)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • data portability (Art. 20)
  • object to the processing (Art. 21)

Please contact the controller named above.

Independently of that, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. For Trier University of Applied Sciences this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany.
