About the operation
HARMONI – Humanoid robotics for the Greater Region: open, neutral and application-oriented infrastructure. The purpose of the project is to build know-how and a vendor-neutral humanoid robotics infrastructure in the Greater Region, to integrate the technology into education and training, and to make it accessible through the Robot Compass. The expected results are a white paper on sector-specific use cases, standardised teaching and training modules, a digital self-service platform, and five site-specific demonstration and qualification solutions.
HARMONI is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg Greater Region 2021–2027 programme. The total budget is €2,489,390.94, of which €1,493,634.56 comes from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), that is 60 % of the costs. Duration: 1 August 2026 to 31 October 2028.
The consortium brings together five funded partners in four countries – Trier University of Applied Sciences with Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld, ZeMA, Institut d’Innovation en Logistique, Technifutur and the University of Luxembourg – plus three strategic partners.
